Vietnam promotes tourism communications: stimulate demand for sea tourism 2021

In early April, Sea tourism shows signs of recovery after a year hit by the pandemic. Tourism activities in Vietnam’s south provinces such as Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon seem to become dynamic again as the number of visitors to attractions of these provinces is increasing. Experts forecast that some tourist destinations will be absolutely jam-packed in the coming holidays (Reunification Day of 30th April and International Workers' Day of 1st May).

1. Overview of the tourism market in Q1 2021

Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has launched a number of communication activities to stimulate demands in the tourism industry and to improve the quality of Sea tourism services.

A media campaign is launched to boost demand for sea tourism in summer

1.1. Plans to welcome tourists in peak season to come

So far, plans to welcome tourists during summer and holidays as well as in the coming stable period have been fully prepared. Some beach cities will hold big festival activities such as:

• Vung Tau Taste Week 2021: with more than 100 pavilions introducing seafood and folk dishes, three-to-five-star bars, sharp discounts on overnight stay of five-star resorts and hotels (only from VND700,000 a night).

• Nha Trang beach tourism: Nha Trang has launched a campaign themed “Safe destination of Nha Trang, the sea is calling”. The campaign offers a great number of promotions and discounts for tourists, with more than 100 cultural, art, sports and tourism activities. Besides, airplane fares and hotel rents will go down sharply in response to the program, from 50% to 70%.

• The jade island of Phu Quoc: This is one of the most desirable destinations not only for its inherent charm but also for attractive offers of airlines to tourists.

Some flights from Da Lat, Nha Trang, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Da Nang to Phu Quoc have been opened with round-trip fares from only VND 900,000 with promotional vouchers and discounted offers when booking hotels, resorts and apartments.

• Da Nang: Some tourism development projects such as Bach Dang pedestrian street, check-in point of Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, some pilot nightlife areas for tourists will continue to be invested. 1.2 Promotions from service providers

In the current period, almost no travel service provider does not participate in the "discount - promotion" war to attract tourists.
